Killea Football Club
Killea lotto not won this week. The 20 euro prizes were won by Hugh Dillon, Killea, Patricia O’Donnell, Carrig Inn, and Linda Bowen, Carrig Inn. Next week’s jackpot is 1950.
Killea/Newtown Soccer Academy continues with lots of activities.
The impact of the academy in the area is shown by the number of schools and colleges that our members attend, 19 in total , all living in the parish with a couple of exceptions.
Fees are two euro at home and three euro away.
Last Friday the u12 team played Institute girls winning 6-4.
Our u18s picked up the Fair Play trophy in the Donegal Youth League, we were represented at the function to receive the award by Declan Moore,
In the Ulster Senior League last match of the season we travelled to Keadue and drew 1-1, our equaliser was scored by Rory Feeney from our u18s side and he was joined on the team by Declan Moore who gave a good account of themselves. Kenny Doran could not travel as he has commitments for six nights of the week and rests on a Sunday.
Sympathy is extended to Martin Family, Cloone on the death their sister Mary Ellen and to Bobby Toland and family Circle on the death of his brother Charlie (St. Johnston).

Coyle’s Golf Society

Coyle’s golf society had their outing to Newtownstewart on Sunday 3rd June. Winners were: 1st Martin Mc Fadden, 2nd Gerald Mc Daid, 3rd Stephen Page. Front nine, Edward Lynch, back nine Barry Farmer. Outing sponsored by Paddy Mc Guigan, building contractor. Next outing to Letterkenny on the 8th June.

Birth
Congratulations to Tayna and Kieran 0′Donnell, Orchard Grove, Newtowncunningham on the birth of their baby girl on Monday 28th May.

Wedding

The beautiful wedding took place on June 1 in Newtowncunningham of Emma Holmes and Martin Golden.
Emma is the daughter of Con & Betty Holmes, Newtown and Martin the son of Mary & Martin Golden, St Johnston.
After a beautiful wedding ceremony officiated by Monsignor Carr and Fr O’ Doherty, guests enjoyed a lovely reception in The Gateway Hotel, Buncrana.

Death
The death took place in Letterkenny hospital on Thursday 31st May of John Devenney, Colehill, Newtowncunningham. His funeral Mass took place on Saturday 2nd June at 3pm in the Church of All Saints, Newtowncunningham. The Requiem Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Mc Menamin, Fr. Mc Carron, Fr. 0′ Doherty and Fr. Mc Hugh nephew of the deceased. Internment took place in the adjoining cemetery.
