Sympathy
The sad and untimely death took place recently of Patsy Duffy, Cullinean, Redcastle. Patsy, who was 64 years old, died in Galway Hospital after a brief illness.A farmer, he had lived all his life in Cullinean. He was a pleasant and modest man and everyone’s friend. His passing will be sadly missed by all who knew him.The very high esteem in which Patsy was held was evident by the large numbers who attended his wake and funeral which took place to St Columba’s Church, Drung where Requiem Mass was celebrated by Fr Mailey. The offertory gifts were presented by his four children Sinead, Cathal, Pauric and Breedge and the beautiful music and singing was provided by Neil McLaughin. Internment took place in the adjoining cemetary. Deepest sympathy is offered to Patsy’s wife Sarah, his children Sinead, Cathal, Pauric and Breedge, to his sister Sadie, Carrickmore, Co Tyrone, brother Francis and wife Betty, Greencastle, nephews and family circle and his many friends, may he rest in peace
