Jubarlian Pins
Golden and Silver Jubarlian Pins were presented at 7.30pm Mass in St Mary’s Church Cockhill on Friday 22nd June 2007. The Celebrant was Father John Walsh PP. The following were the recipients of Golden Denis and Mary McGonagle, Patrick and Bridie Grant , Eileen Coyle and Nellie McIntyre. Silver Sheila Gildea. Congratulations to all recipients.

Speech and Drama

Earagail Arts Festival
The above present Diva by Sophie Krog, a combination of freestyle puppetry and quirky cabaret in the Tullyarvan Mill on Friday 20th July at 3pm. Admission €6.

Hogmony in August
A Hogmony will take plade in Buncrana over the 24th , 25th and 26th of August. A welcome party will take place in the Plaza on Friday 24th August with music. A buffet dance takes place at the Inishowen Gateway on Saturday 25th August and Sunday 26th . A Ceile and Old Time Dance takes place in the Tulllyarvan Mill at 3pm and there will be activities for children on the Saturday and Sunday. This brain-storm came from Fr.Eddie McGuinness who thinks it is time to acknowledge the strong connections that exist between Scottish people and Inishowen .

Flight of the Earls
The Cairn Theatre Group presents “A Flight of Earls Musical”in The Cairn Theatre, Greencastle every Tuesday night at 8.30pm from July to end of September”A Flight of Earls Musical” celebrates the 400th anniversary of this famous period of our history through music, song and dance Fine voices, costumes and projected backdrops all combine to make this a highly entertaining evening for young and old Limited seating . Charity Dance
This is in aid of the Inishowen Cancer Support Group and will be held in The Malin Hotel on Friday 3rd August 07. Music by Inishowen Smokey and the Bandits Guests Ballymoney’s answer to Big Tom Allister Coyles and also Donegal No 1 Accordian Player John McGeoghan. Dancing 11pm-2am Admission €5 Tickets for sale or payable at door. 3 door prizes and raffle on the night.

Buncrana Youth Club
New and final date for the club draw is the 28th July. Promoters are needed and tickets are available from the club on 9361594. All-weather pitches are available for booking. The summer camp runs from 2nd July to 6th July.Cycling Club for 8 to 12 year olds takes place the 11th, 12th and 13th of July from 1.30pm to 3pm. Places are limited so booking is advisable. Buncrana Senior Citizens Committee
The above are presently looking for drivers for the meals-on-wheels service, meals are delivered on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and take approx. one to one and a half hours. A rota system operates which means that each driver is out only every 8 weeks. If you wish to volunteer, please contact Jim Henderson tel. 93 61666 or any committee member.
