First Sod Cut
It was a memorable occassion in Muff last Tuesday, November 19 when a large number of local people, members of the clergy, local councillors and a member of the Senate witnessed the cutting of the first sod for the Muff Sheltered Housing Project. This is a great achievement for the hard-working committee who deserve the highest praise and also to Jack Dismore for his generosity in making available the site for the project. Refreshments was served in Knowhead Presbyterian Church Hall after the ceremony.
Christmas Bazaar
St Mary’s Community Hall is the place to be next Sunday, December 2 when the Annual Christmas Bazaar organised by the Muff Branch of the Apostolic will take place. As in other years there will be fantastic prizes at the Rickety Wheel, also the usual stalls, bottles of wine, elephant and cake stalls available. Santa will make a personal apprearance at around 4pm to receive letters so please make an effort to come along on Sunday. All monies raised going to the Missions. Tickets for a raffle are now on sale from committee members.1st prize is a Hamper, 2nd Christmas Cake, 3rd Large Tin of Sweets. The tickets are two euro a strip.
Romanian Fund Raising Auction
Inishowen Romanian Fund Annual Auction will be held at Mary Deeney’s, Ture, Muff on Saturday December 1 at 9pm. Anyone wishing to donate unwanted items such as furniture, kitchen appliances, home baking, TVs, DVD players, machinery, foodstuff etc, can contact Mickey on 087 2121789 or Marty on 087 2681308. These items can be collected throughout Inishowen and Derry. Once again a big thank you to everyone who has been go generous throughout the years and a very Happy Christmas to everyone from all of the Inishowen Romanian Fund Committee.

Book Sale
The Parents’ Association of Scoil Naomh Brid, Muff is holding a Book Sale in the school hall on Saturday, December 1 between 1pm and 3pm. All books 50 cent. No further donation of books required. Your support is much appreciated.

Knowhead Annual Sale
Friday, December 7 will see the Annual Sale in Knowhead Church Hall. It will start at 7.30 pm and there will be the usual items such as cakes and bakes, homemade and home grown produce, Christmas gifts, toys, etc. Teas and jellies will be available. Everyone welcome.
Tuesday Club
The Tuesday Club has been up and running for the past few months. They meet in St Mary’s Community Hall on Tuesday’s from 2pm to 4pm. They take part in a variety of activites, have a cup of tea and a wee chat. The club is open to anyone with time on their hand, male or female to come along they are open to ideas for further activities. Some of the group travelled to Derry last Tuesday night to see South Pacific in the Millennium Forum. This is just the first of many trips they hope to avail of in the future.
Quigley’s Point Swifts
Numbers drawn in last week’s lotto were 2-5-7-12-13 and 14 and there was no jackpot winner. Two people matched 5 numbers and shared 60 euro, they were Alice Porter, Ture and Fionnuala McColgan, Ture. Medals were presented to the under 10 team who finished 3rd in the Blitz throughout Inishowen. Special thanks went to all the parents and guardians for all their help and support throughtout the year, especially the underage games.
Naomh Padraig GAA
The numbers drawn in last weeks lotto were 3,6,2,7,4,5,1. There was no jackpot winners however , the 100 euro runner up prize went to John McDaid, Quigley’s Point Post Office. Next week’s jackpot will now be 5,050. The Club’s Parish League ended last Sunday and The Club would like to thank everyone who assisted or helped in any way. The indoor hurling continues on Saturday’s in the Community Centre at 10:30 am for boys and girls aged 6-10 years. The underage presentation will take place in the Clubhouse on Friday, November 30. There will be a night at the races the following Friday, December 7 in the Squealing Pig and a Bazaar in the Clubhouse on Sunday, December 9. Hopefully these events can be well supported. Finally there will be a table quiz in the Ture Inn on Friday 30th November at 10:30pm as usual. All proceeds are going towards the defribulator fund.
CD proceeds
The proceeds of John Kieran Doherty’s CD, New Love, will be handed over to the Donegal & Carndonagh Hospices at a dance in the Squealin Pig on Friday, November 30. A Celtic Shirt will be raffled on the night. Admission 5 euro. Please support this very worthy cause.
