Parents’ Association
Clonmany Parents’ Association would like to thank everyone who supported the bazaar. The amount raised was 6,477 euro. The amount raised from the raffle of the pictures was 4,100 euro. The next fundraiser, a Valentine’s Golden Oldies Disco, will take place in the Ballyliffin Hotel on Saturday February 16 at 11pm. Admission on the night is eight euro. All proceeds from the disco will go towards the purchase of new school equipment.

Coaches needed
Coaches are still needed to help out with the underage Gaelic football teams, ladies are especially needed this year to give a hand with the girls teams. If you would like to help out then contact Paul McLaughlin on 9376752 or any Urris GAA Club Committee member as soon as possible. Training is available for anyone interested in helping out.

25 Card Drive
The Rasheny NS 25 card drive will take place in Ballyliffin Golf Club on Friday, February 8 at 8pm. Tickets are ten euro and everyone is welcome to attend.

Dinner Dance
Ballyliffin Development Group is holding its 2nd Annual Fundraising Dinner Dance and Auction on Friday, January 25 at the Strand Hotel. Tickets are 40 euro each and are available from Hotel Reception 9376107 or from Anna Doherty 087 668 9256. Proceeds are going towards the completion and upkeep of the walkway on Pollan Beach amongst other projects, so come along and support us and enjoy a great night’s entertainment into the bargain!

Aquafit classes
Aquafit classes have resumed at Buncrana Community Leisure Centre on Wednesday nights at 8pm. Ideal exercise class for all ages and abilities, even non-swimmers. Come along and try it. What have you got to lose? A few inches off your waist – or a few pounds maybe. Tel: 9361000 for details.

Resource Centre
A fitness class for women has resumed on a Monday morning from 10am to 11.15am at Clonmany Youth Club and Community Resource Centre. All abilities catered for and the cost of the class is five euro. There is also a ladies’ class on a Wednesday night from 7 to 8pm and a men’s class from 8.30 to 9.30pm. Admission is five euro and Gym members free. Anyone joining the gym before January 31 gets a 50-euro discount.

Christmas Swim at Leenan

Adult ceili dancing
Classes in St. Mary’s Hall every Monday night from 8pm to 9.30pm. Past and new members all very welcome…..a great way to keep fit!

Caring for elderly?
Would you like information regarding entitlements, respite, support grounds and other support services? Diane Donnelly, Carers Development Officer will be holding a number of information Drop In Clinics in the Community Hospitals:
Monday, January 28 at Carndonagh Community Hospital from noon – 2 pm. Tuesday, January 29 in the Buncrana Nursing Unit from noon – 2 pm.

Inishowen Gardening Club
The Inishowen Gardening Club will meet on Monday, January 28 in Wesley Hall, Carndonagh at 8pm. The guest speaker this month is Sean Ó Gaothain, the head gardener in Glenveagh, who will present “Gardens in Donegal.” Everyone welcome to attend.

Clonmany Shamrocks lotto
The lotto numbers drawn on January 13 were: 3, 8, 10 and 14, there was no winner and the jackpot is now 8,300 euro. The winners of 20 euro were: Tayna McGonigle, Cloontagh; Paul McLaughlin, I.O.D and Tegan Long, Mindoran.

Urris Match and Win
There was no winner of the Urris Match and Win last week and the jackpot has now risen to 2,300 euro. The years drawn were: 1960, 1961, 1974 and 1981. The winners of 15 euro were;
