Give blood
The Blood Transfusion Service will be held in Carndonagh Community School on Wednesday, January 23 from 3–4.30pm and 7–9.30pm. Thursday, January 24 from 2–4.45pm and 7–9pm. New donors are urgently needed, so please come along and bring a friend.

The numbers drawn in the Gleneely FC Lotto on the January 13 2008 were: 11-12-13-19. There was no jackpot winner. The 20-euro winners were Charlie Molloy, Quigley’s Point, Tommy McKinley, Malin Town, Annie McBride, Priesttown, Carndonagh, Tina McDermott, Gleneely, Willie Doherty (Jack), Gleneely. Next week the jackpot is 2,600 and the draw will take place in Carrick’s Bar on Sunday at 10pm. Gleneely Colts FC are holding a meeting in the Club House on Saturday, January 26 at 7pm. Culdaff FC Lotto
Lotto numbers drawn on January 13 for the Culdaff FC were: 4-5-12-13-14-15. There was no jackpot winner and the 20-euro winners were: Sorcha Murphy, Culdaff, Dermot Diver, Culdaff, Donal Doherty (O), Carndonagh. The Club are introducing a new yearly lotto with a special discount prize of eighty euro per year. New envelopes are available from Club Members. New envelopes can be entered in the draw any time and will last for a year.

Wedding Bells
St Columba’s Church, Drung was the setting for the wedding of Charlene McMonagle and Stephen Armour at the beginning of December. Charlene is the daughter of Arthur and Margaret Monagle, Cul De Sac, Quigley’s Point and Stephen is a son of Trevor and Jacqueline Armour, Knockloughrim, Magerafelt. The bride was given away by Father Arthur. The best man was Keith Armour brother of the groom. Chris McMonagle, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Charlene was assisted by her best friend and chief bridesmaid Margaret Ann Doherty and friend Stephanie Molyneauk. Flower girls were Emily and Tara Molyneauk. Fr Mailey officiated at the ceremony. The ceremony readers were Una Crainey and Louise Heasley friends of the bride and the groom. Prayers of the faithful were by friends Louise Harper and Katie Thompson, offertory gifts were presented by Charlene’s mother Margaret and Stephens mother Jacqueline. The Henry Girls provided the music and singing. The reception was held in the Ballyliffin Spa and Lodge Hotel and the honeymoon was spent in London and Florida.
Early Bird Special
The winners of the Early Bird Special Draw for the Gleneely FC Development Big Draw held on January 1 were: Matthew Kelly, Moneydarragh, Tess and Shane Diver, Carrowmore, Gleneely, Robert Cunningham, Carndonagh, Anthony McLaughlin, Churchtown, Carndonagh, Lee and Lora McColgan, Moville. All won 100 euro each. The Big Draw will be held at Easter 2008. First prize 15,000 euro, 2nd 5,000 euro, 3rd 3,000 euro, nine other cash prizes. Tickets are now on sale priced at 100 each. School Reunion
CCS extends a very special invitation to the parents of former and current pupils to a guest reunion to be held in The Sports Hall on Friday, February 22. Tickets are now on sale in all areas.
Irish Wheelchair Association
There will be a table quiz in The Glen Bar, Carndonagh on Thursday, February 24.This is a fund raising event for the Irish Wheelchair Association.
