School enrolments

Enrolment for St Aengus’ National School, Bridgend is now taking place for September 2008. Forms are available at the school reception desk. If you wish to enrol your child for September 2008 St Mura’s National School Tooban, contact the school immediately or telephone 074 9360325. Enrolment forms should be returned as soon as possible so the numbers can be determined. The school is collecting SuperValu vouchers and will be grateful for any donation of these.

Dinner Dance

Burt GAA dinner dance will take place on Friday, February 22 at An Grianán Hotel. Tickets are 40 euro and are now available from club members.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Emma McElhinney on receiving the Pope John Paul Award in recognition of her work with the St Vincent de Paul and St Aengus Folk Group and Rhea O’Regan for her work with the Inishowen Youth Choir.

Maths classes

Limited places available for Maths at the Mill. One-hour-weekly classes take place each Saturday in the Tullyarvan Mill for Junior Certificate (Ordinary/Honours) and Leaving Certificate (Ordinary) pupils wishing to take part in a small group intensive revision programme. For further details ring 086-3471854

Brooke McBride cash

Kieran and Sonia McBride along with their families would like to thank all those who supported this worthy cause.  In the end there was a staggering 40,500 euro raised through various fund-raising events.  The amount was split between Ronald McDonald House and Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children and these cheques were presented recently to the two parties mentioned. They would like to thank each and everyone of you who supported this cause.
