Taughboyne ICA

Taughboyne ICA had Brendan Farren as a guest speaker in February. He demostrated the art of basket-making and described how he had learnt the craft from an elderly man. He is now trying to revive what had been a dying technique. He grows his own willow and had a lovely display of the various natural colours and different types of baskets such as fishermans, donkey creels, picnic hampers etc.  Members enjoyed his talk very much and felt inspired to attempt to learn the skill in the future.
