Sympathy
Sympathy is offered to John Canning, Bridgend on the death of his sister Bridie Fleming, Derry; the McBride family, Speenoge on the death of Marge Cooke (née McBride) in New Jersey and to Kathleen McBride, Speenoge on the death of her father Daniel Lynch, Buncrana.
Active retirement meeting
A public meeting to consider starting an active retirement group will be held in the Fowler Hall, Tooban on Thursday, March 27 at 7.30pm.
There are several successful such groups throughout Inishowen and one of the best is purported to be in Carndonagh.
Ms Violet Sheehan of the Carndonagh group will attend the Fowler Hall to relate her experiences and pass on some helpful hints and advice to the proposed Fahan group. Also attending will be Ms Ann Murphy, a professional employed by The Voice of Older People in Donegal group.
This meeting, while especially for 55s and over – or anybody retired – is open to the general public and all are welcome.
If you know somebody in the Fahan, Inch, Burt area who feels in anyway lonely or isolated or who does not appear to have many friends, encourage them to come along and meet new friends or neighbours over a cup of tea or coffee. For more information or detail call Peter on 0872360561.
Confirmation
The sacrament of confirmation this year will be conferred by Bishop Hegarty in the Parish Church on Saturday, May 10 at 11am. First Communion in the parish will be as follows; St Mura’s National School Saturday, May 17 and St Aengus’ National School Saturday, May 24.

Table Quiz
There will be a table quiz on Wednesday, March 26 in the 19th Hole, Bridgend in aid of the Palliative Care Unit, Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry.
Aileach Women’s Group
Aileach Women’s Group meeting March 26 at 8pm in the Burt GAA Clubhouse. Josie Coll will start a flower arranging class on Wednesday, April 9.
Play
The Swilly Players present John B Keane’s hilarious comedy Moll, directed by Stan McGowan in Burt Hall on Wednesday, April 2, Thursday, April 3 and Friday, April 4at 8pm. Please come along and support your local drama group.
Community activities
All Inch Island Community Association activities are open to anyone. The group especially encourages participation from residents in Burt, Burnfoot, Fahan, Tooban and Inch.
