Sympathy

Sympathy is offered to the family and friends of Ownie Hegarty, Crislamore and to the family and friends of Monica Crumley, Carrowreagh, Bridgend who both passed away recently. Sympathy is also offered to Kathleen Doherty, Carrontlieve, Fahan on the death of her mother Susan McGowan, Slavery, Buncrana. May they rest in peace.

Cookery Demonstration

A fundraising event by chef Emmett McCourt of Ulster Pork and Bacon will be held in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall on Friday, April 18 at 8pm. Emmett plans to demonstrate a number of courses which everyone can then sample. We encourage our neighbours and the wider community to keep this date free and plan to bring a friend. Cost is ten euro or seven pounds including a cup of tea and a cookery book.

Blessing of the Graves

The blessing of the graves this year will take place in Burt on Sunday, June 1 at 3pm; Inch on Sunday, June 1 at 6pm and Fahan on Sunday, June 8 at 3pm.

Public Meeting

A public meeting will be held in the Frontier Hotel, Bridgend this Friday, April 4 at 8.30pm to discuss the charge of VRT on motor vehicles and financial exploitation of the NCT. All are welcome.

Book Sale

A book sale in aid of Oncology Unit, Letterkenny Hospital on Saturday, April 19 from 11am - 5pm and Sunday, April 20 from 2 - 5pm in St Mary’s Hall, Burt. Donations of books would be very welcome. Contact Kathleen 9368373

Moll

The Swilly Players being the long-awaited Moll to St Mary’s Hall, Burt tonight (Wednesday, April 2) at 8pm. The hilarious play will also be presented on Thursday and Friday at the same time. Admission is ten euro and the curtain goes up at 8pm. Proceeds are in aid of St Mary’s Hall, Burt and Swilly Drama Group. One lucky winner will win the door prize of 50 euro each night.
