Bridie McNeely is organising a cake sale on Saturday, April 12 in St Mary’s Community Hall from 11-4pm. Proceeds to Parish funds. Anyone who would like to help please contact Bridie on 93 84076.

 

Muff Festival AGM

The AGM of the Muff Festival took place on Tuesday, March 25 in St Mary’s Community Hall. The following officers were elected for 2008; Chairman Bernard Breslin, Vice Chairman Joe O’Donnell, Minute Secretary Mary Rose McLaughlin, Joint Correspondent Secretaries Gerald McLaughlin and Mura McLaughlin, Joint Treasurers Emma McLaughlin and Phyllis McKenna, P.R.O Tommy Doherty, Health and Safety Officer Karl McCarron, other committee members Liam Harkin, Liam McLaughlin, Willie Doherty, Cassie Hegarty, Kathleen Doherty and Claire Doherty. The next meeting will take place in the hall on Tuesday, April 8 ay 8.30pm. New members welcome.

Winners of this week’s Parish Draw were- Breege Grant, Craig Park, 300 euro, Sarah Lindsey, Keady, 200 euro and Bernice Maher, Colpey, 100 euro.

 

Tuesday Club

The Tuesday Club resumed after the Easter Break on Tuesday April 1 at the usual time of 2pm, in St Marys’ Community Hall. The final session of the Spring Programme was very well attended. When an interesting presentation on Gardening was made by Paddy McCartney. A programme of activities for the next quarter is now been put together. Any ideas on activities welcome. Come along have a cup of tea, a chat, and join in the action.

Muff Irish Language Group will also resume on Tuesdays at 5.30pm and St Mary’s Community Hall on Tuesday April 1.
