Sympathy

Sympathy is offered to the family and friends of Eunan Boyle, Bonemaine, Bridgend who died last week. Sympathy is also offered to the family and friends of Margaret Bradley, Derry who was buried in Inch and to the Sisters of Nazareth, Fahan and the family and friends of Sister Mary. May they rest in peace.

 

Fahan Community Council

Fahan Community Council will begin their maintenance and grass-cutting at St Mura’s graveyard on Saturday, April 12. They are appealing for as many people as possible to help in the maintenance of this historic site. Volunteers with trimmers, rakes and hand tools are invited to come along any time between 11am and 5pm on Saturday. Community council members will be there all day.

 

Cookery Demonstration

There will be a cookery demonstration by chef Emmet McCourt on Friday, April 18 at 8pm in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall. Admission is ten euro and tea will be served. All are welcome.

 

Book Sale

A book sale in aid of the oncology unit at Letterkenny General Hospital will be held in St Mary’s Hall, Burt on Saturday, April 19 from 11am – 5pm and Sunday, April 20 from 2 – 5pm. Donations of books will be very welcome. Contact Kathleen 9368373.

 

Burt GAA Fundraiser

Burt GAA fundraising event –Who Wants To Be A Thousandaire – on Saturday, April 19 at 8.30pm in An Grianan Hotel, Burt. Tickets are 15 euro and are available from any club member.

Young Priests Society

 

There will be a monthly meeting of the St Joseph’s Young Priests Society in the Fowler Hall on Thursday, April 10 at 8pm. More helpers are needed for this worthwhile project.

 

Blessing of the Graves

The blessing of the graves will take place in Burt on Sunday, June 1 at 3pm; Inch on Sunday, June 1 at 6pm and Fahan on Sunday, June 8 at 3pm.
