Death
The sudden death took place on March 10 of Mr Charlie Rutherford, Carry, Carnamoyle, Muff. Charlie was beloved husband of Phyllis, loving father of Shaun, Mary, Phillip, Charles, Patricia, Bernie and Brian and loving grandfather of Peter, Donna, Niamh, Reece, Aine, Aaron, Lee and Chloe.
Sympathy is also extended to Charlie’s sister May McLaughlin (Quigley’s Point), Dan and Vincent (Scotland) and Willie (Dublin) and to all his brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and to his friends. Charlie was predeceased by his parents and brothers Joe and John. Charlie was an active member of the Irish Farmers Association and represented the IFA at a local and national level. Charlie was awarded Life Honorary membership of the association in 2002 for his loyal service. IFA members formed a guard of honour at the funeral as a mark of respect. Charlie was also involved on various committee including the Inishowen Co-operative Society, Donegal Creameries and Inishleigh Mil. Charlie was a valued member of the local community and always attended community events. The large attendance at his funeral reflected the high esteem in which he was held. A special thanks to Fr Farren for the lovely moving Requiem Mass and for his continued support to the family. Thanks also to the Brogan family who provided the music at the funeral mass and to Charlie’s nephews and nieces for reading. The Rutherford family circle wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all who supported and sympathised with us and who sent Mass cards and letters of sympathy, floral tributes, called to the family home, travelled to be with us, brought food, helped over the wake and attended the funeral, grave diggers and alter servers. Thanks also to Inishowen Funeral Services for the professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. It is so comforting to know that we live in such a helpful and caring community surrounded by family and friends and neighbours. Charlie’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 11 at 7.30 in St Patrick’s Church, Iskaheen, Muff.
Death
The death occurred recently in the nursing unit, Buncrana of Pat McFaul, Ardmore, Muff. He died suddenly after been ill for some time. Pat was the son of the late James and Mary McFaul, Ardmore. He was predeceased by his brothers Charlie, Eddie, and Hughie some years ago. Pat was a farmer most of his life and in his younger years was a member of the FCA. He was of a very quiet nature and was a highly respected member of the community. Requiem Mass was concelebrated in the Sacred Heart, Muff by Fr John Farren, Fr Eamon Martin, Fr Colm Morris, and Deacon Daniel McFaul. The music in the church was provided by the Children’s Church Choir. Deepest sympathy is extended to his brother Neil and his many cousins and friends. The wake was attended by a large section of the community as was his funeral showing the high regard in which Pat was held. Burial took place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. May he Rest in Peace.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Joe Elder formerly of Springtown, Muff. Sympathy is also extended to the parents and extended family of baby Lee Ryan Hegarty, Sappagh, Muff.
Cake Sale

Diocesan Mass
The Annual Diocesan Mass for those with special needs and their families will take place in St.Josephs Church, Galliagh on Sunday, April 13. Bishop Lagan will celebrate the Mass.
Church-gate collection
St Vincent’s De Paul Society Church Gate Collection for Uganda will take place next weekend. Please give to this worthy cause.

Naomh Padraig GAA
The numbers drawn in last weeks lotto draw were 2,7,4,3,6,5 and 1. There was no jackpot winner however 100-euro runner up prize went to Luke McCorkell c/o Squealin Pig. The Senior Game was called off last weekend due to the Donegal Game. This weekend the club host Naomh Ultan with the reserves playing at 3.30 and the Seniors throwing in at 5pm. Last weekend saw the beginning on the Underage Season with both the U12 girls and boys recording victories over Steelstown. Finally all training continues at the usual time midweek.
Quigley’s Point Swifts
The numbers drawn in last week’s Quigley’s Point Swifts Mini Lotto were 4.9.11.13.14 and 15. There was no jackpot winner. Liam Grant, Fahan and Mark Rehill, Muff matched 4 numbers and win 30 euro each. This week’s jackpot will be 830 euro and the draw will be on Tuesday night at the Astro Turf. The Underage Season kicks off on Monday, April 14 with under 14 team and under 16 team on Wednesday, April 16 and under 12 on Friday, April 18. All help greatly appreciated.
