Sliabh Sneacht Challenge

The Annual Sliabh Sneacht Challenge bike race and Hill climb for the Eamonn Noone Memorial Perpetual Trophy at the North Pole bar takes place this Sunday May 4 at 2pm. Leisure cyclists, walkers or hill climbers are very welcome to come along on the day. For more information call 9363844

Alzheimer’s tea day

Alzheimer’s National Tea/Coffee Morning takes place in St Mary’s Hall, Clonmany on Thursday May 1 from 11am – 2pm. All proceeds in aid of Alzheimer’s Association. All welcome so why not drop-in and enjoy a cuppa while supporting this worthy cause.

 

Club Iorras

Golden Oldies Disco

The parents committee have organised a Golden Oldies Disco (due to popular demand) in The Ballyliffin Hotel on Saturday May 10 with D.J. Martin. The doors open at 11pm with admission on the night priced at 8 euro.  

 

Clonmany Town Renewal Committee

The new plan for the Market Square and its environs is now on display in Clonmany Post Office for all Clonmany’s residents to view.

 

Charity Auction

In aid of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research to be held in Tully’s Bar, Carndonagh on Sunday, May 4 starting at 6pm.  Many items to be auctioned including a helicopter ride, signed sporting and showband memorabilia, a full day pass to Rally School Ireland, weekend breaks, VIP ticket to Villa Park.

Come along and treat yourself or a loved one to a fantastic present while helping a very worthy cause.

 

Camera Club Inishowen 

A meeting of the Camera Club Inishowen will take place on Thursday, May 1 in Serenity House, Moville starting at 7.30pm. All welcome to join or to just visit us.

 

Carndonagh Community School Reunion

Did you start CCS in 1993? Did you sit the Leaving Cert in 1998? If so there is a 10 year reunion in The Ballyliffin Hotel on Sunday, May 4. Tickets are 25 euro for Dinner, Band and Disco and are on sale in Value-Clean (Buncrana, Carndonagh and Moville) and Norris’ Shop, Moville. Tickets need to be bought by April 27. All proceeds are going to Charity.

Fashion night

There will be a fabulous fashion and beauty night in the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa on Thursday. May 1 at 8pm, in aid of Kiddies Corner, Malin Community Playgroup. Jewellery, fashion, shoes, bags, perfume, make-up and those must haves for ladies of all ages. There will be fashion parades throughout the night with a grand makeover finale for three lucky ladies!!! Tickets are available in all the usual local outlets, from the playgroup and all contributors.

Activity Club

Sponsored Walk for Alan Doherty

There will be a sponsored walk in aid of the Alan Doherty Fund on Sunday, May 18 at 3.00pm. The walk will be leaving St Mary’s hall, Clonmany and going via Binnion, Tullagh, the Rusty Nail in Crossconnell and back to the hall again where refreshments will be served to all participants. Sponsor cards are available by contacting Eddie on 9376781 or Breege on 9376391. Later that night at 10.30pm there will be music and a raffle in James Tams, Clonmany also in aid of the fund. All sponsor cards returned by that time will be entered into a special draw.

 

Irish Seniors Open

Accommodation is needed in the Ballyliffin area between Monday, June 16 and Sunday, June 22. Anyone with a suitable house to let in the Ballyliffin area can forward their details to Ballyliffin Golf Club on (074) 93 76119.

Youth Academy registration day takes place on Saturday April 12 2008 at 4.00pm. All Ballyliffin Golf Club Juniors & juveniles are welcome to attend.

 

Rasheny FC Grand Draw

Our annual presentation dance and draw takes place on Sunday, May 4. First prize in the draw is 10,000 euro cash with many other valuable prizes. Amongst the prizes are : a  trip for 2 to Las Vegas; a week for 2 in Portugal;  a 46 inch TV; a year’s membership for 2 at Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa; the hire of a marquee with food supplied for 40 people; a lap top computer; a weekend for 2 in Paris and a mountain bike. Tickets are priced at €130 – with a meal for 2 on each ticket.  They are now on sale from committee members.

 

Community Games

Athletics training now on in the Community centre every Wednesday evening at 7pm sharp. Children must be age 7 years and over. Admission is  2 euro.

 

Resource Centre

The Car Boot Sale takes place on Saturday, May 3 from 12 to 4pm. 10 euro per table. Call the Centre on 0749376772 if you need more information.

Badminton every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm, badminton is open to all children from age 6 upwards. New members are always welcome.

Keep-fit classes for women every Monday morning from 10 - 11am and Wednesday evenings from 7 - 8.15pm. There is also a keep-fit session for men every Wednesday evening from 8.30 - 9.30pm.

Disco dancing on Wednesday evenings from 5 – 6.30pm. New-comers are always welcome. If you would like more details call Jacinta on 086 3614206.

 

Clonmany Shamrock’s lotto
