Football

Sports Day is just around the corner now as we head in to the month of May. As usual it will be on the Whit weekend which is Sunday, June 1. It is now only 4 and a half weeks away so the committee will be busy over the next few weeks making their preparations. Keep your diary free that weekend. Anyone who wants to help out on the day should make themselves available as soon as possible to ensure the day itself runs off smoothly. Under-age football is now up and running and teams are doing well and making progress. The Under 14 Futsol team did us all proud last wek when they won their section of the competition in Maginn Park. Congragulations to ll involved. Parents should come along and cheer on the youth teams, as the standard of play is very high indeed. Next Sunday sees us play Clonmany in the final of the Credit Union Cup. Again please ensure you buy your tickert from the club rather than pay at the gate as we have a lot of tickets to sell. There is still a lot to play for on different fronts so let’s hope we have get off to a good start on Sunday next. A large crowd is expected and a good game is anticipated also.
