The quiz is in support of Buncrana Hearts FC and underage development. This week saw a few new teams come into the fray including a Paddy Corr supporter’s team called The Armagh Bunch. The Wawa’s were short of their brain box Neil and as a result struggled the whole night. Showing well on their first night were the Ozymoran team who secured fourth place which left them the happiest saddest team on the night. The Quarrelsome Quartet who finished first last week must have quarrelled too much and were not at their sharpest but never the less they only finished one point behind the winners and claimed third place. There was a tie for first place between the Snow Patrol and Not The Mushroom Farmers. Both these teams were neck and neck all night and it was fitting that both should share the spoils. Well done to Paddy Corr and Derek Smith for running a first rate quiz. The quiz continues next Thursday night. The starting time is 9.30 pm but come early to secure a table.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Charlie O’Donnell who passed away recently. Charlie was a very well respected member of the community. He was involved with Cockhill Football Club for many years and was a prominent member of the Inishowen Soccer fraternity. He also was renowned for his charity work and indeed epitomised the ideal citizen. He will be sadly missed in the community. Also your prayers are asked for the family and friends of Przemyslaw Slclepanski originally from Poland. He died tragically in a road accident on Saturday last. He is survived by his mother and one sister.
