Congratulations to Fr Michael Porter who will celebrate the silver jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood today, Wednesday 4th July with a Mass in St Aengus Church, Burt at 8pm.

After Mass there will be tea and light refreshments in St Mary’s Hall, Burt followed by a short concert. Everyone is welcome. Volunteers are sought to make  sandwiches, cakes, buns etc and help with the tea in St Mary’s Hall. The hall will be open from 6pm tonight

Congratulations to Fr Philip Kemmy, Lisfannon who was ordained a priest in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny last Sunday.

The organisers and everyone involved in the Night at the Races in aid of the Foyle Hospice and the Evelyn Grant Defibrillator Fund would like to thank all those who bought horses, turned up on the night or helped in any way.

The event, which was held in the 19th Bar, Bridgend last Friday night was a fantastic success and a great night was had by all. Thank you for your support.

Well Done
Congratulations to everyone who was involved with the recent auction in Burt Hall which was a huge success. The amount raised was E4260 which will benefit the Nazereth House Residents Comfort Fund and Burt Parochial Hall. Well done to Fr Porter, Kathleen and Breedge Grant and all the hard workers who made the event such a huge success.

Encore Music School
Encore Music School in St Mura’s NS, Tooban will be held from the 2-7th July. There are still a few places left. The summer school offers workshops for absolute beginners (7-9 years old) as well as lessons for experienced musicians. Daily lunchtime concerts open to everyone. The Inch Island Community Association needs willing residents prepared to give time over the Summer Gathering weekend to act as stewards and general helpers. The blessing of the graves will take place in Fahan this Sunday at 3pm. They will be in Burt on Sunday 10th June at 3pm and Inch at 6pm
